Upon check in, we were upgraded to preferred and given cold refreshing towels that smelled of citrus. Preferred Club Ocean Front with Balcony was perfect for our 6 day stay. Our first impression was that is was very spacious with upgraded luxury bath amenities. It was very comfortable and the room has a well designed layout. The balcony of this room has stunning views of the ocean and pool. Within the room, there is a fridge with a mini bar including complimentary waters, beers, and sodas. The bathroom was also very spacious and included the rain shower head. There were plenty of drawers throughout the room to put away our belongings and a safe included for our passports.

Dreams Sands Gourment Dining:

At Dreams Sands, there are a variety of international cuisine dining options and unlimited top shelf spirits to choose from. At the resort, they have six a la carte restaurants located around the property. They also have a buffet, a cafe, an icecream parlor, a sushi bar, and an outside grill to dine. There are five bars and lounges around the resort serving unlimited cocktails and top-shelf spirits. In our experience, the staff provided impeccable service and your glass was always kept full. They really do go above and beyond for guests and their famous slogan is “Welcome Home!”

The resort also offers a World Class Spa featuring spa treatment cabins, jacuzzi baths, saunas, relaxation lounges, steam rooms, beauty salon, fitness center, and private showers. They offer spa body treatments and massage treatments, facials, therapies, and much more.

During our trip, we experienced the Garra Rufa Fish Therapy which was definitely something everyone should try! During the treatment, we placed our feet in tanks of freshwater containing dozens of toothless Garra Rufa fish. The fish suck and gently nibble away at all dry and dead skin. The end result left our feet feeling refreshed, soft, and healthy.

Activities / Excursions Dreams Offers:

XPLOR: Located in the heart of the Riviera Maya, XPLOR offers a thrilling experience of a lifetime. This excursion is an all inclusive tour that includes a delicious mexican buffet, zip lining, waterslides, offroading into caves, paddle boating and swimming through underground caves and caverns. They offer two tours, one during the day and then XPLOR by Night! Michael and I have experienced both and personally favored the night time tour. In addition to all the fun activities, at night on will experience ziplining through rings of fire. Check out there site at: http://www.xplor.travel. We recommend booking this tour at the hotel concierge due to if you book multiple excursions in a package, you will recieve a great discount. Expedia Tour Concierge has some wonderful packages as well!

XCARET: Located in the Riviera Maya, here you will discover the Mayan Jungle and culture of Mexico. XCARET is a family-oriented fun eco-archaeological park filled with many activities for all ages. Such activities include; snorkeling tours, swimming in underground rivers, swimming with the dolphins, snuba, swimming with nurse sharks, and the famous XCARET Mexico Espectacular which is an amazing show that is a celebration of light and color with over 300 artists that will guide you through the history of Mexico. We were able to experience this amazing show and recommend it to everyone! The only downfall about the park is that most activities are a la carte and must be purchased in addition to the general admission ticket which is quite expensive. That being said, the activities offerred are worth the money! Our favorite part of the Espectacular show was the game of creation in otherwords known as fire hockey (See Video Below).
